Tech Savvy Teens trains Hawaiʻi youth in digital literacy and tech support — then sends them into senior living homes and community centers to provide one-on-one tech support to kūpuna.
Since 2022, our teens have contributed 3,000+ hours of service and helped 2,500+ kūpuna across Oʻahu stay connected in a digital world.
Everything we do is built around three core areas of impact:

After 30+ volunteer hours, teens earn IC3, Microsoft, or cybersecurity certifications — opening doors to jobs and internships in tech.
Teens meet kūpuna where they are — in person — helping them one-to-one with video calls, telehealth, smartphones, internet basics, scams, and more.
Rooted in mālama kekahi i kekahi — youth from underrepresented communities lead with aloha, patience, and purpose.
Tech Savvy Teens, in partnership with AARP Hawaiʻi and Spectrum, presents its 5th annual Tech Savvy Teen Expo — a free morning where teens ages 13–17 help kūpuna across Oʻahu with their smartphones, tablets, laptops, and Apple Watches.
No tech jargon, no judgment, just one-on-one personalized IT troubleshooting.
